Local observers predict high court will rule narrowly on health reform law

For decades, the nation’s highest court has shied away from making any sweeping changes to the interstate commerce clause, a section of the U.S. Constitution that gives Congress the power to regulate commerce and has been used to help define a broad collection of laws, from civil rights to criminal and drug enforcement laws. Medical College plans campuses in Green Bay, central Wisconsin

Green Bay and a yet-to-be-determined location in central Wisconsin have been approved by the Medical College of Wisconsin board of trustees as sites for new medical education campuses, the school announced Monday. The Medical College will aim to admit the first group of students to the new campuses as early as the summer of 2015, said John Raymond, the school's president and chief executive officer. The school hopes for a minimum of 15 students at each campus, with an eye toward growing to 25 students in subsequent years. (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 6/26)
