Internship

Wisconsin Health News is looking for summer interns to play a key role in social media, reporting, and web maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity to be on the ground floor of an online journalism startup. Wisconsin Health News is a nonpartisan, independent online news service designed to meet the information needs of busy Wisconsin health care leaders, decision makers, and consumers. Interns will have an opportunity to interact and work with leaders in the health care and legislative fields.

Responsibilities:

  • Play a lead role in increasing the organization’s social media efforts
  • Attend press conferences, legislative hearings, and  other news events
  • Write stories for daily newsletter
  • Maintain Web site
  • Summarize relevant news headlines from around the state
  • Perform other administrative tasks
