Dental Associates earns AAAHC status
Wauwatosa, Wis. (June 29, 2015) – Dental Associates, Wisconsin’s largest family-owned dental group practice with 12 clinics, has earned its reaccreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The AAAHC status means Dental Associates meets nationally recognized standards for the delivery of quality health care. The company originally received accreditation in 2012 but must undergo a reexamination and qualification every three years.
“We believe our patients deserve the best care possible,” says Dr. Thomas Manos, president and owner of Dental Associates. “The accreditation shows that an independent, outside organization has closely examined our clinics and procedures and verified that we are delivering the highest level of patient care.”
Ambulatory health care organizations seeking accreditation by AAAHC undergo an extensive self-assessment and on-site survey by AAAHC expert surveyors, including dentists, physicians, nurses, and administrators, who are actively involved in ambulatory health care. The survey is consultative and educational, presenting best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.
Dental Associates has worked hard to develop a company culture of patient care excellence. A number of years ago, the company’s CEO, Anthony Vastardis, implemented patient satisfaction surveys administered by Press Ganey, an independent survey company. In 2014, the company began posting the Press Ganey patient ratings and reviews on its web site at DentalAssociates.com.
“We always put the patient and their needs first,” says Vastardis. “Even though Press Ganey surveys and the AAAHC review are strenuous and take additional time, they’re an important part of our ensuring we are serving our patients with the best care possible.”
