Wisconsin Forward Award Honors 3 Health Care Organizations

MADISON – Three Wisconsin organizations are the most recent Wisconsin Forward Award recipients.

Crossing Rivers Health (Prairie du Chien), Holy Family Memorial Inc. (Manitowoc) and HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital (Chippewa Falls) are among organizations that will be honored by Wisconsin Forward Award at an award ceremony and gala set for December 10 at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison.

The Wisconsin Forward Award Program is designed to recognize Wisconsin organizations that strive to be role models. Modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, WFA’s evaluation process is based on the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, which provide a framework and criteria to guide organizational performance. Organizations submit a self-assessment to the program for an in-depth review and written feedback from a team of volunteer Examiners.

Prior to the Awards event, the organization will hold its first Change Leadership Forum featuring Terri Potter, President of Potter Consulting, Joann Sternke, Superintendant of Pewaukee School District, a 2013 Baldrige winner, and John Timmerman, Gallup’s Senior Strategist in Customer Experience and Innovation. The event begins at 1:30 at Monona Terrace.

Details for both events can be found at www.wisquality.org.

Wisconsin Forward Award, Inc. was created in 1997 by the Governor’s Council on Workforce Investment. The award promotes excellence in organizational management, recognizes the achievements and results of Wisconsin organizations implementing performance excellence systems, and publicizes successful performance excellence management strategies.

All types and sizes of Wisconsin organizations are eligible to apply, including manufacturers, service companies, small businesses, educational institutions, health care organizations, and non-profit organizations, including trade and professional associations, government entities, and charities.

WFA is a public/private partnership administered by the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence.
