State extends deadline for MTM to reduce medical ride denials

Gitte Laasby of the Journal Sentinel reports: "Medical transportation provider MTM Inc. is under pressure from the State of Wisconsin to reduce the number of instances where it denies patients rides to Medicaid-covered medical appointments because no vehicle is available to take them. But officials from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services have given MTM an extra two months - until the end of June - to fully ratchet down the numbers." (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 4/10)
