MARSHFIELD – Under plans announced today, Medicare beneficiaries in seven Northeast Wisconsin counties would be able to consider 2017 Medicare Advantage plans from Security Health Plan this fall.
Pending approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Security Health Plan will expand its Medicare Advantage service area into Northeast Wisconsin and the Fox River Valley. Plans call for expansion into Brown, Calumet, Green Lake, Kewaunee, Oconto, Outagamie and Winnebago counties.
Security Health Plan’s Medicare Advantage plans are currently available in 41 counties in central, north central, northwestern and south central Wisconsin. The Marshfield-based company also offers Medicare Supplement and Secure Saver Medicare Medical Savings Account plans that are available statewide.
Security Health Plan’s network of physicians and other health care providers has expanded to include the ThedaCare and Bellin Health systems as well as independent providers who are affiliated with those systems.
“We are very impressed with the quality of services available throughout northeastern Wisconsin with these highly regarded health care organizations,” said Julie Brussow, Security Health Plan CEO. “We will be able to offer new members in this region the same high quality of care that has been the hallmark of our provider network throughout our service area.”
