The Department of Health Services on Monday reported the fewest number of new COVID-19 cases since late June.
There were 392 new cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin, bringing the total number to 70,854. It’s the lowest number of new cases since June 29 when 315 cases were confirmed.
There were no additional deaths, with the total remaining at 1,081.
There were 4,865 additional people tested, for a total of 1,190,476. Monday’s positivity rate for tests was 8.1 percent.
The seven-day average positivity rate is 8 percent. The seven-day average of newly reported daily COVID-19 cases is 665.
According to the Wisconsin Hospital Association, there were 337 COVID-19 patients hospitalized Monday, an increase of 16 from Sunday. There were 121 in intensive care units, an increase of 15.
