DHS: 727 new COVID-19 cases, four more deaths

The Department of Health Services reported 727 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, for a total of 77,856.

DHS reported four more deaths, for a total of 1,146.

There were 9,178 more people tested, for a total of 1,277,855. The positivity rate was 7.9 percent.

The seven-day average positivity rate of tests was 8.4 percent. The seven-day average for daily new cases was 674.

There were 293 total COVID-19 patients in Wisconsin hospitals as of Thursday afternoon, per the Wisconsin Hospital Association. That was up six from Wednesday.

Of those, 104 were in intensive care units, a single-day increase of 13.
