More than 2 million tested for COVID-19

More than 2 million Wisconsinites have been tested for COVID-19, the Department of Health Services said Wednesday.

DHS reported 3,815 new COVID-19 cases, for a total of 210,126.

An additional 9,818 people were tested, bringing the total to 2,005,287.

Forty-five more deaths were reported, for a total of 1,897.

The seven-day average for daily new cases was 3,919. The seven-day average for daily new deaths was 31.

As of Tuesday, the seven-day average positivity rate per person was 27.2 percent, and the seven-day average positivity rate per test was 14 percent.

There were six patients at the surge facility in West Allis on Wednesday morning.
