DHS: 3,619 new COVID-19 cases, 81 more deaths

Health officials reported 3,619 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, for a total of 422,065.

Eighty-one more deaths brought the state’s death toll to 3,887 people.

An additional 11,726 people were tested, for a total of 2,638,122.

The Department of Health Services considers 54,599 cases active.

The seven-day average is 3,853 daily new cases and 55 deaths.

As of Tuesday, the seven-day positivity rate by person was 29.5 percent, and the seven-day positivity rate by test was 12.8 percent.

There were eight patients at the surge facility in West Allis on Wednesday morning.
