DHS: 3,858 new COVID-19 cases, 47 more deaths

The Department of Health Services reported 3,858 new COVID-19 cases, for a total of 429,957.

Forty-seven more deaths brought the state’s death toll to 3,991.

An additional 11,045 people were tested, for a total of 2,661,722.

DHS considers 50,264 cases active.

The seven-day average was 3,628 for daily new cases and 52 for daily new deaths.

As of Thursday, the seven-day positivity rate by person was 28.1 percent. By test, it was 11.7 percent.

There were nine patients at the surge facility in West Allis as of Friday morning.
