DHS: 750 new COVID-19 cases, one more death

Health officials reported 750 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, for a total of 543,165.

They reported one more death, for a total of 5,897.

An additional 3,820 people were tested, for a total of 3,053,835.

The Department of Health Services considers 18,278 cases active.

The seven-day average for daily new cases is 1,321, down 28 from Sunday and 256 from a week ago.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is 28, down one from Sunday and five from a week ago.

As of Sunday, the seven-day average positivity rate by person was 19.5 percent, down 0.1 percentage point from Saturday and 1 percentage point from a week ago.

The rate by test was 5.4 percent, the same as Saturday and down 0.7 percentage points from a week ago.

No patients were at the surge facility in West Allis on Monday.

There were 686 total COVID-19 patients in Wisconsin hospitals on Monday, down 11 from Sunday and 86 from last week, per the Wisconsin Hospital Association.

The number in intensive care units fell 22 from Sunday, for a total of 146. That was down 29 from last week.
