DHS: 7.1 percent of Wisconsinites fully immunized against COVID-19

Around 7.1 percent of Wisconsinites are fully immunized against COVID-19.

Wisconsin vaccinators administered 1,281,901 doses of COVID-19 vaccine as of Wednesday.

Per state data, 14.5 percent of the state’s population, or 842,818 Wisconsinites, have received first doses, and 7.1 percent, or 411,717 Wisconsinites, have received second doses.

DHS reported 840 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, for a total of 562,151.

Fifty-two more Wisconsinites have died from COVID-19. The state’s death toll is at 6,394.

An additional 13,177 people were tested, for a total of 3,177,606.

DHS considers 8,430 cases active.

The seven-day average for daily new cases is 632, up 15 from Wednesday and down 26 from a week ago.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is 23, up five from Wednesday and up 10 from a week ago.

As of Wednesday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 2.4 percent, the same as Tuesday and down 0.5 percentage points from a week ago, per preliminary data from DHS.
