More than a third of Wisconsinites have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, per state data released Tuesday.
Wisconsin vaccinators administered 3,120,369 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through Monday.
They gave 29,310 doses on Monday, with a seven-day average of 48,333 daily shots.
Per state data, 33.4 percent of the state’s population, or 1,944,054 Wisconsinites, have received at least one dose of a vaccine, and 20.4 percent, or 1,185,478 Wisconsinites, have completed their vaccination series.
The federal government has allocated 3,364,565 COVID-19 vaccine doses to Wisconsin as of Tuesday.
So far, providers have administered 1,642,430 Pfizer-BioNTech doses; 1,388,246 Moderna doses and 89,406 Johnson & Johnson doses.
Per state data updated Tuesday, healthcare providers have given 47.5 percent of doses, pharmacies have given 24.5 percent, local and tribal health departments have given 17 percent, community-based vaccination clinics have given 5.5 percent and other facilities have given 5.6 percent.
The Department of Health Services reported 886 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, the highest single-day count of new cases since Feb. 12 when 938 were reported. A total of 581,070 cases have been reported.
The state’s death toll is at 6,648 people, after DHS reported eight more deaths.
An additional 3,308 Wisconsinites have been tested for COVID-19, for a total of 3,333,006.
DHS considers 7,562 cases active.
The seven-day average for daily new cases is 634, up 43 from Monday and 133 from a week ago. That’s the highest it’s been since Feb. 19 when the state was averaging 635 daily new cases.
The seven-day average for daily new deaths is six, down one from Monday and up one from a week ago.
As of Monday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 3.5 percent, up 0.1 percentage points from Sunday and 0.7 percentage points from a week earlier, per preliminary data from DHS.
Per the Wisconsin Hospital Association, there were 275 total COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the state on Tuesday, up 34 from Monday and 25 from a week ago.
Seventy-five were in intensive care units, up 11 from Monday and nine from a week ago.
