DHS reports 402 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health Services reported 402 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total to 585,710. The death toll is at 6,680 after another three deaths. DHS reported 3,181 new tests, bringing the total to 3,361,601.

DHS considers 8,428 cases active. 

The seven-day average for daily new cases is up to 789, an increase of 14 from Sunday, and up 198 from last week. 

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is six, up one from Sunday, and the same as a week ago.

Wisconsin vaccinators have administered 3,542,552 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

DHS reports that 37.4 percent of Wisconsin residents, or 2,175,782, have received at least one dose, while 24.5 percent, or 1,423,723, have completed their vaccination series.

They gave 9,375 doses on Sunday, with a seven-day average of 58,936 doses.

As of Sunday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 3.8 percent, the same as Saturday and up 0.4 percentage points from a week earlier, per preliminary data from DHS.There were 304 COVID-19 patients in Wisconsin hospitals on Monday, up 16 from Sunday and 63 from a week ago. Of those, 75 were in an intensive care unit, up three from Monday and an increase of 11 from the prior week.
