New law mandates medication-assisted treatment evaluation for some convicted of OWIs

Gov. Tony Evers signed a bill Friday that requires some convicted of driving while intoxicated to receive an evaluation to determine whether medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorder might be appropriate for them.
