Impact of new variants remains to be seen, says Milwaukee County expert

An “alphabet soup of variants” is beginning to displace the dominant BA.5 COVID-19 strain, but it’s unclear what impact that will have on the pandemic, Dr. Ben Weston, Milwaukee County’s chief health policy advisor, said Tuesday.
