Froedtert Health and ThedaCare said Tuesday they will launch their combined health system at the start of next year, after finalizing their agreement to join forces.
“This is just the beginning of an inspired future for healthcare in Wisconsin,” said ThedaCare CEO Dr. Imran Andrabi.
“As a combined organization, we will continue to strengthen local healthcare, working closely with the Medical College of Wisconsin,” said Froedtert CEO Cathy Jacobson.
Following the launch, Jacobson will serve as CEO for six months, while Andrabi will be president. After Jacobson retires, Andrabi will be president and CEO.
The combined organization expects to name its board in January. The initial chair will be Jud Snyder, Froedtert’s current board chair, and the vice chair will be Jim Kotek, ThedaCare’s current board chair.
The brand names of each organization will continue.
The health systems announced their merger in April.
