Republicans decline Evers’ call to release western Wisconsin healthcare, PFAS dollars

Republican lawmakers on the Legislature’s budget-writing committee did not attend a Tuesday meeting called by Gov. Tony Evers to consider his proposals for releasing millions of dollars to address healthcare facility closures in the Chippewa Valley and contamination by “forever chemicals.”
