State champions ‘leave behind’ programs to distribute overdose prevention tools 

Twenty-one fire departments and emergency medical services agencies have launched programs to distribute prevention kits at overdose scenes, after transporting patients to hospitals and with patients’ social networks, like family, friends and roommates, thanks to opioid settlement dollars awarded by the Department of Health Services.
