MADISON – State Representative Sandy Pasch (D – Whitefish Bay) announced that the Milwaukee Democratic Legislative Caucus will hold a town hall on healthcare provisions within Governor Walker’s budget proposal at the Washington Park Senior Center from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, April 19.  Specifically, legislators will be looking for input regarding the anticipated impact of these provisions within the greater Milwaukee area.

“It is obvious that there is great interest in – and concern for – many provisions within Governor Walker’s budget, so I believe it is vital to provide ample opportunities for individuals to voice their views on this wide-reaching proposal,” said Rep. Pasch, who serves as Chair for the Milwaukee Democratic Legislative Caucus.  “Healthcare provisions within the budget proposal are certain to have an impact on our area communities, so I hope we are able to facilitate a thoughtful conversation surrounding the anticipated effect of these proposals.”

This will be the second hearing within a planned series of town halls on general issue areas in the budget.  The purpose of these is to maintain an ongoing dialogue on how various aspects of the proposal will affect the greater Milwaukee community.

All Milwaukee-area legislators will be invited to attend this and future hearings.  They will be open to all members of the public and media.
