Marshfield Clinic Health System CEO nominated for national honor

Dr. Susan Turney, Marshfield Clinic Health System CEO, recently was nominated for Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Physician Executives and Leaders for 2015, highlighting her reputation as a national leader in health care.

The 50 Most Influential Physician Executives and Leaders honors physicians working in the health care industry deemed by their peers and an expert panel as the most influential in demonstrating leadership and impact. Physician leaders are innovators, excel in community services and demonstrate reputable executive authority.

Turney previously was voted as one of Modern Healthcare’s top 50 executives and leaders from 2012-14. This is her first as MCHS CEO.

“It’s an honor to be nominated and recognized with the many highly qualified physicians for this award,” Turney said. “It not only recognizes me, but the work that we at MCHS are doing to provide quality health care for our patients, research and education.”

Turney is one of 170 nominees, including just three from Wisconsin-based medical institutions or organizations.

Anyone can visit Modern Healthcare’s website to vote before Feb. 20. The ranking of the top 50 leaders will be published April 6 in Modern Healthcare magazine.
