Prevea Health, HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire and HSHS St. Joseph’s HospitaI in Chippewa Falls operate as one family to provide excellent care close to home in the Chippewa Valley region. Physicians from HSHS Medical Group – Family Health Associates and HSHS Sacred Heart Family Care in Menomonie joined the Prevea Health family in 2015.

While the name Prevea Menomonie Health Center is new, the family medicine services that were offered under the HSHS Sacred Heart Family Care name remain the same.  Dr. James Lopez continues to offer routine pediatric and adult health care and specializes in key services such as: preventative health and health maintenance, men’s health, joint injections, concussion, sports-related injuries and physicals, asthma, high blood pressure and cholesterol, acute illness and chronic medical conditions.

“Getting to know my patients, their goals and what motivates them is paramount,” said Dr. Lopez. “Understanding what’s important to them personally helps my approach toward improving and maintaining their health. It is my hope that after educating a patient about their disease state and providing them with the necessary tools, they can then take on the most important role of implementing the therapies and lifestyle changes that have been prescribed.”
