Awarded funding is part of a University of Wisconsin initiative
Madison, Wisconsin — The University of Wisconsin has awarded a contract to MetaStar to provide technical services to selected Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies in Wisconsin. MetaStar currently works with Wisconsin EMS Services through the Wisconsin Coverdell Stroke Program. In this capacacity, MetaStar provides education and technical support in identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement as they relate to care of the stroke patient. The new funding will expand MetaStar’s role in supporting Wisconsin EMS and providers.
EMS are a critical part of healthcare as they provide appropriate care to any patient during an emergency. MetaStar will work with selected EMS agencies on issues as they relate to time critical diagnosis (TCD) policies and practices that have a direct impact on care and treatment provided to those patients.
