Chippewa Valley Hospitals and Clinics added to The Alliance network to expand employers’ health benefit options

MADISON, Wis. (Jan. 3, 2018) – The Alliance has added three major health organizations in the Chippewa Valley to its provider network.

HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire, Wis.; HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chippewa Falls, Wis.; and 12 Prevea Health clinic locations became part of The Alliance provider network effective Jan. 1, 2018. The Prevea Health clinics are in their Western Division and are located in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, Mondovi, Augusta, Arcadia, Cornell and Ladysmith.

The Alliance expanded its network in the Chippewa Valley in response to employer requests. The expansion enables employers with headquarters or facilities in the Chippewa Valley to join The Alliance, a not-for-profit cooperative of employers who self-fund their health benefits.

The Alliance already has contracts with many other major health care providers in the Chippewa Valley, including Marshfield Clinic and OakLeaf Surgical Hospital.

“We look forward to helping employers achieve cost savings on health benefits by using The Alliance’s value-based approach to health care purchasing,” said Kyle Monroe, Alliance vice president, network development and provider relations.

Founded in 1990, The Alliance moves health care forward by controlling costs, improving quality and engaging individuals in their health. Its members include more than 240 businesses, school districts, municipalities and insurance trusts that provide coverage to over 85,000 individuals in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa. Its provider network includes more than 90 hospitals, 9,500 doctors and 18,300 professional service providers.
