Madison – WEA Trust and INTERLINK® COE Networks & Programs’ CancerCARE have joined together to offer a clinically proven way to manage cancer better for WEA Trust members. According to the American Cancer Society, cancer is the second most common cause of death in the US and nearly 13% of cancers diagnosed are considered rare. As rare cancers are especially difficult to diagnose, patients often receive a late diagnosis or are more likely to have delayed or inappropriate treatment. In addition, when you have a rare cancer, it can be more difficult to find the right treatment options and facilities near you.
To help prevent members from receiving inappropriate or delayed care, the WEA Trust + CancerCARE program brings top quality and personalized cancer management to ultimately increase treatment satisfaction and improve success rates. The program includes individualized treatment plans for all types of cancer, access to Centers of Excellence, and leading oncology experts who provide precise evaluation that helps protect members by applying cutting edge cancer management.
“We are proud to introduce this program and be able to offer a higher level of care to our membership,” said Kyle Humphrey, WEA Trust’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Being diagnosed with cancer is a terrible thing and it’s our job at WEA Trust to provide the quality and support that our members deserve throughout their treatment journey.”
The WEA Trust + CancerCARE program launched to all WEA Trust members beginning April 1.
