DHS: 717 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health Services reported 717 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, for a total of 82,477.

The state also set a new record for its daily positivity rate, with 17.6 percent of test results reported as positive.

DHS reported 4,083 more people tested, for a total of 1,312,636.

There weren’t additional deaths. The total remained at 1,168.

The seven-day average positive rate is 11.3 percent. The seven-day average for daily new cases is 842.

According to the Wisconsin Hospital Association, there were 297 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in the state, a single-day increase of eight. There were 88 in intensive care units, a decline of three from Monday.
