DHS: 195,152 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Wisconsin

So far, 195,152 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Wisconsin.

According to DHS data, 373,100 doses have been shipped to Wisconsin. Some are still in transit.

As of Wednesday, 26,708 Wisconsinites had received their second dose, completing their series.

As of Tuesday, when the data was last updated, there were 607,650 doses allocated to the state, with 197,000 being held for long-term care facilities.

DHS reported 2,712 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, for a total of 515,982.

Forty-two more deaths brought the state’s death toll to 5,290.

An additional 9,699 Wisconsinites were tested, for a total of 2,937,842.

DHS considers 27,862 cases active.

The seven-day daily average for new cases is 2,492, down 154 from Wednesday and up two from a week ago.

The seven-day daily average for new deaths is 30, the same as Wednesday and down one from a week ago.

As of Wednesday, the seven-day positivity rate by person was 27 percent, down 1 percentage point from Tuesday and 4.6 percentage point from a week ago.

The rate by test was 8.9 percent, down 0.3 percentage point from Tuesday and 2 percentage points from a week ago.

No patients were at the surge facility in West Allis on Thursday.

According to the Wisconsin Hospital Association, there were 998 COVID-19 patients in Wisconsin hospitals on Thursday, a decline of 27 from Wednesday and down 79 from last week.

There were 229 COVID-19 patients in intensive care units, a single-day increase of five and down 15 from last week.
