Johnson considering self-quarantine after meeting with official now positive for coronavirus

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., is feeling well and consulting with doctors about the need for self-quarantine after meeting with a member of the Spanish parliament last week who’s now tested positive for the new coronavirus, his spokesman said Friday morning.

Johnson met with the member March 2.

The senator regularly meets with government officials and diplomats given his role as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Europe and Regional Security Cooperation, a statement from Johnson’s office noted.
