UW, Meriter feud spills over into State Journal

The ongoing feud between UW Health and Meriter Health Services has spilled over into the pages of the Wisconsin State Journal. In a letter that ran as an advertisement last month, UW Hospital leaders said that increased collaboration will benefit all parties. "We believe wholeheartedly that the best strategy for both Meriter and UW Hospital and Clinics is to work together, linking the community based resources of Meriter with our nationally recognized academic health center," they wrote. "It is a strategy being used successfully all over the country, and an approach that would serve our community efficiently and effectively." We agree, said Meriter CEO Jim Woodward and Physician's Plus president Linda Hoff, in a column the paper published last week. (WHN, 10/3)
