Far East Side UW hospital project to get under way in April
Construction of Madison’s first new general hospital in about 35 years is set to begin in April on the Far East Side, with preparations already under way. UW Health plans to build a 56-bed hospital, a clinic and a wellness center, along with an emergency room and helipad, on 42 acres at the American Center business park. Future expansion calls for up to 84 beds. (WISCONSIN STATE JOURNAL, 2/11)
