Senate confirms Smith as state health secretary
Dennis Smith is officially the state’s new health secretary. Eight Democrats voted against his nomination this morning, voicing concerns about his commitment to SeniorCare and that he had not made the rounds to all Senate members. SeniorCare is the state’s prescription drug program for seniors. (WHN, 1/25)
