Grant helps state hospitals

Meriter Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital in Madison are among 17 hospitals in Wisconsin using nurse-led teams to improve the quality and safety of health care through a new grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The effort will help staff "reduce adverse events and unanticipated deaths, reduce harm from falls and implement evidence-based care," Judy Warmuth, a vice president of the Wisconsin Hospital Association, said in a news release.
