Providers push forward with payment reform pilots

Earlier this year, Meriter Health Services and the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics started paying providers a single payment for knee replacement surgery and specified follow-up care. The bundled payment is one of two pilots launched by the Partnership for Healthcare Payment Reform aimed at moving away from fee-for-service reimbursement. (WHN, 6/4)
