DA to hold open John Doe in death of patient at Mental Health Complex

District Attorney John Chisholm said Friday his office will conduct an open John Doe hearing in March into the death of 25-year-old Brandon Johnson while he was a patient at the Milwaukee County Mental Health Complex. Johnson's death Oct. 6 from complications of a broken neck has already prompted multiple probes. In a second major development Friday, a federally designated patient advocacy organization called on the state to suspend or terminate the license of the county's psychiatric hospital.
