Full Medicaid coverage for pregnant women to stay, state officials say
Gov. Scott Walker's proposed budget would reduce Medicaid coverage for many pregnant women, but state health officials say that wasn't his intent, and full coverage will be maintained. The budget would shift pregnant women who make more than 133 percent of the poverty level into a program that covers prenatal care, including labor and delivery services - but not other services, such as postpartum care.
