Assisted Living reports 4Q loss, reversing year-ago profit

Higher operating costs and higher general and administrative expenses resulted in a fourth-quarter loss for Assisted Living Concepts Inc. The Menomonee Falls company, which operates assisted living centers and senior housing, reported a loss of $2.6 million, or 11 cents a share, compared with net income of $7.3 million, or 31 cents, a year ago. Revenue fell 3.2% to $57 million from $58.9 million. (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 3/15)
