Columbia St. Mary's, ProHealth Care to develop joint cardiothoracic surgery program
Facing strong competition from Aurora Health Care and Froedtert Health, Columbia St. Mary's and ProHealth Care announced Tuesday plans to develop a joint cardiothoracic surgery program that would be staffed and overseen by a medical center with a national reputation in the specialty. John Robertstad, president of the hospital division of ProHealth, said the partnership has requested proposals from more than a dozen medical centers, such as Cleveland Clinic, Indiana University and Duke University.
