Report: Quality efforts reduce healthcare costs by nearly $46 million

Wisconsin hospitals have cut healthcare costs by $45.6 million and improved care for more than 4,400 patients by focusing on quality and participating in a national program aimed at reducing hospital readmissions and hospital-acquired harm, according to a comprehensive report released Tuesday by the Wisconsin Hospital Association.
