Ballooning healthcare costs and recent mandates from the federal health reform law have driven Wisconsin and the rest of America into a full-swing era of hospital mergers. Community Health Network, a Berlin-based healthcare network operating a hospital and 10 clinics, became the most recent healthcare system to hop the movement in Wisconsin after announcing it will join ThedaCare earlier this month.
