Network Health expands Medicare Advantage coverage

Network Health begins offering expanded Medicare Advantage PPO plans in southeast Wisconsin counties.

MENASHA, WI (October 6, 2016)
– Network Health, the Wisconsin-based health plan, will expand its Medicare Advantage PPO plans in five southeast Wisconsin counties in 2017. Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington and Waukesha counties will see expanded coverage under the change.

Network Health’s innovative Medicare Advantage plans are built on a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) structure. PPO plans allow members to see any in-network and out-of-network provider that accepts Medicare beneficiaries. Members can also see providers and specialists without a referral from their primary care physician.

“Network Health’s expansion into the Medicare Advantage market in southeastern Wisconsin will bring an exciting new coverage option to the area through our PPO plans,” said Coreen Dicus-Johnson, Network Health president and CEO. “Our PPO structure gives members the tools to be active participants in their health care.”

Network Health’s Medicare Advantage PPO plans also include an inclusive travel benefit. Under the plans, a member’s visit to an out-of-state physician or clinic is covered at the same rate as an in-network provider here in Wisconsin. The plans also include the Silver Sneakers fitness benefit which gives access to more than 13,000 fitness locations nationwide.

“Network Health Medicare Advantage PPO plans offer flexibility and the freedom to drive your own health care,” said Dicus-Johnson. “It’s important to Network Health that we partner with our members to provide high quality, high value coverage – and our Medicare Advantage PPO plans do just that.”

Network Health Medicare Advantage plans have a 4.5 star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The Five-Star Quality Rating System from CMS scores the types of services offered by a health plan. Scores are awarded on a scale of one to five, with five being the highest rating. Network Health’s 4.5 star rating reflects the high quality of coverage offered by Network Health Medicare Advantage PPO plans, as well as a high level of customer satisfaction.

Network Health is the largest provider-owned Medicare Advantage plan in Wisconsin. The company insures more than 63,000 lives on its Medicare Advantage PPO plans.
