The Wisconsin Paper Council thanks ND Paper for generous donations to fight COVID-19 in Wisconsin

Madison, WI — The Wisconsin Paper Council is applauding ND Paper for making a generous donation to the State of Wisconsin to aid in the fight against the COVID 19 virus. ND Paper which operates a mill in Biron, Wisconsin has donated 1,500 Tyvek suits and 20,000 surgical masks to the State of Wisconsin for distribution to health care providers who are on the front lines of testing and treating citizens for the COVID-19 virus.

“ND Paper is answering the call to help provide much-needed assistance to our state’s medical community as they fight the coronavirus pandemic,” stated WPC President Scott Suder. “ND Paper’s generous donation will help protect Wisconsin medical workers who are working around the clock to keep our communities safe from this devastating virus.”

The company’s mills in Biron, Wisconsin, and Rumford, Maine, are integrated pulp and paper facilities, and their mill in Biron supports more than 350 working families. The company has 1,200 employees who together produce more than 1.2 million short tons of pulp and paper annually.

Suder stated that papermakers and converters throughout the state are working diligently to produce and often donate critical medical and personal hygiene products for Wisconsinites during this time of international crisis. The Wisconsin Paper Council continues to work with the federal government, Governor Evers Administration and Legislative and local leaders to coordinate logistical manufacturing, supply and donation efforts.
