DHS: 740 new COVID-19 cases, seven more deaths

The Department of Health Services reported 740 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the state’s total to 68,233.

There were seven additional deaths for a total of 1,067.

There were 9,871 more people tested, for a total of 1,161,527. The positivity rate for test results on Thursday was 7.5 percent.

The seven-day positivity rate is 8 percent. The seven-day average daily number of new cases is 718.

There were 367 patients hospitalized in Wisconsin with COVID-19, according to the Wisconsin Hospital Association. That was a one-day decrease of 21.

There were 120 patients in intensive care units, down one from Wednesday.
