DHS: 638 new COVID-19 cases, 13 more deaths

The Department of Health Services reported 638 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, for a total of 71,492.

There were 13 deaths reported, bringing the total to 1,094.

An additional 9,987 people were tested, for a total of 1,200,463. The positivity rate for test results reported Tuesday was 6.4 percent.

The seven-day positivity rate is 8 percent. And the seven-day average for new cases reported daily is 666.

According to the Wisconsin Hospital Association, there were 354 COVID-19 patients hospitalized as of Tuesday afternoon, a single-day increase of 17.

Twelve more were reported in intensive care units, for a total of 133.
