DHS: 878 new cases of COVID-19, 11 more deaths

The Department of Health Services reported 878 more cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, for a total of 73,138.

There were 11 deaths, bringing the total to 1,111.

DHS reported 10,791 more people tested, for a total of 1,221,632. The positivity rate on Thursday was 8.1 percent.

The seven-day positivity rate was 8.2 percent, and the seven-day average for new daily cases was 701.

According to the Wisconsin Hospital Association, 291 patients were hospitalized on Thursday afternoon, a single-day decline of 53.

There were 96 in intensive care units, a decline of 11.
