Legislature convenes, doesn’t take action on Evers’ bills
Legislative leaders on Monday convened a special session called for by Gov. Tony Evers to address police reform and racial equity, but didn’t immediately take up his plans. The lawmakers left the session open, rather than adjourn it, meaning they might take future action.
