DHS: 2,988 new COVID-19 cases, 16 more deaths
The Department of Health Services reported nearly 3,000 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, the second highest amount it’s reported yet.
There were 2,988 new cases reported, for a total 144,818. That comes after DHS reported 3,132 new cases on Thursday, setting a record.
Sixteen more deaths brought the total to 1,440.
An additional 14,822 people were tested, for a total 1,663,480.
The seven-day positivity rate per person was 17.4 percent on Thursday, and the seven-day positivity rate per test was 9.3 percent.
The seven-day average for daily new cases was 2,416 on Friday.
