COVID-19 cases surpass 200,000

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin surpassed 200,000 on Monday.

The Department of Health Services reported 2,883 new cases, for a total of 201,049.

Ten more deaths brought the state’s death toll to 1,788.

An additional 12,749 people were tested, for a total of 1,978,941.

The seven-day positivity rate by person was 25.4 percent as of Sunday, while the seven-day positivity rate by test was 13.1 percent.

On Monday, the seven-day average for daily new cases was 3,879, and the seven-day average for daily new deaths was 27. According to DHS, 41,067 COVID-19 cases were active.

There were four patients at the surge facility in West Allis as of Monday morning.
