DHS: 6.6 percent of state fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Around 6.6 percent of Wisconsinites are fully immunized against COVID-19.

Wisconsin vaccinators administered 1,237,867 doses of COVID-19 vaccine as of Tuesday.

Per state data, 14.2 percent of the state’s population, or 825,900 Wisconsinites, have received first doses, and 6.6 percent, or 386,072 Wisconsinites, have received second doses.

DHS reported 747 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, for a total of 561,311.

Twenty-five more Wisconsinites have died from COVID-19. The state’s death toll is at 6,342.

An additional 5,264 people were tested, for a total of 3,164,429.

DHS considers 8,402 cases active.

The seven-day average for daily new cases is 617, up 13 from Tuesday and down 114 from a week ago.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is 18, up two from Tuesday and up six from a week ago.

As of Tuesday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 2.8 percent, up 0.1 percentage points from Monday and down 0.2 percentage points from a week ago, per preliminary data from DHS.
