DHS reports 294 new COVID-19 cases 

The Department of Health Services reported 294 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, for a total of 569,932.

No deaths were reported. The state’s death toll is at 6,536 people. 

An additional 2,289 Wisconsinites were tested for the virus, for a total of 3,241,481. DHS considers 6,023 cases active.

The seven-day average for daily new cases is 437, up 17 from Sunday and 66 from a week ago.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths is eight, the same as Sunday and down two from a week ago.

As of Sunday, the seven-day positivity rate by test was 2 percent, down 0.1 percentage points from Saturday and a week earlier, per preliminary data from DHS.

Wisconsin vaccinators administered 2,015,127 doses of COVID-19 vaccine through Sunday.

Per state data, 21.6 percent of the state’s population, or 1,258,563 Wisconsinites, have received first doses, and 12.3 percent, or 709,806 Wisconsinites, have completed the vaccine series.
